Dear students,
we are glad to communicate that we are organizing a field visit in the Chianti area for Friday, November 3, 2023.
We will provide for bus transport, and we will visit 2 or 3 farms of the area, where you can meet the owners who will describe their activities. Lunch will not be included (you can bring something with you, or in any case we will stop in a city center in the area, where you will be able to buy something to eat). Some professors will join the visit.
We will leave in the morning and come back to Florence in the afternoon, and lessons of that day will be cancelled.
Unfortunately, places on the bus are limited, so we will give priority to students who reserve the places earlier. Priority will also be given to second-year students and to those who are motivated (e.g., the field visit fits well in their study plan, the activity could be useful for the thesis, ...), or depending on the exams already taken. If selection will be necessary, this will be made by the master program committee, based on the criteria listed above.
Please note that, although linked to the issues of DSTS master program, this is an extra activity, and no credits will be recognized to the participants.
Those who are interested are warmly invited to fill in the form at this link as soon as possible. If some places will still be available after the deadline, a further call will follow. Registrations will closed on October 15th.
